A CAMPAIGN FOR COMFORT • CARE • COMMITMENT

The Need

Our current facility, while staffed by an incredibly dedicated and skilled team, falls short of providing the optimal healing environment our patients deserve.  The current Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, with only 14 rooms, often feels cramped and outdated, making it difficult for patients and their families to find the comfort and space they need during such a vulnerable time.

The expansion and renovation will increase capacity to 24 beds and provide a more welcoming, spacious environment.  This will ensure that every patient receives the care they need in a setting that promotes healing and comfort.

The renovation will include:

  • Modernized patient rooms designed for comfort and accessibility
  • Expanded therapy areas equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology
  • Improved communal spaces for patients and their families
  • Enhanced facilities for our dedicated staff to support their ongoing professional development and well-being.

Outstanding Care Provided

At Riverview Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to our community, especially for those who need rehabilitation services after experiencing life-altering events.  An ideal environment conducive to healing is needed to give patients their best chance at a successful recovery.  Even with the current unit, 99% of patients would recommend Riverview Health's Acute Inpatient Rehab unit to their loved ones.

With more than 600 years of combined experience, the Riverview Health Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation team is committed to helping patients gain back the sense of independence and reach their highest level of functioning. They work as a team to help prepare patients for living outside of the hospital again. Patient recovery can include relearning how to speak, swallow, stand, walk, drink and chew soft foods. Simple things most people take for granted can be major obstacles.

As one of only a few full-service acute inpatient rehabilitation units in Hamilton County, our patients and dedicated Acute Care staff are seeking your help

The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Riverview Health is Ranked #6 by Newsweek for “America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2022” in the state.

Certified by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as an “Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults, with an additional designation as a Stroke Specialty Program for Adults.”

How Your Support Will Help

As the county hospital for Hamilton County, Riverview Health doesn't receive taxpayer funding for any operating support, but cares for all.  The continuation of monetary gifts provided to Riverview Health Foundation is critical to the future of Riverview Health and this important project.

We cannot achieve the goal of raising $3 Million to help with a portion of the costs without the generous support of our community.  Your contributions to this fundraising campaign will directly impact the lives of countless patients and their families.  By donating, you are helping us provide the highest standard of care in a facility that meets the needs of our growing community.

What's lacking is a physical environment that is conducive to healing and recovery that matches the excellent care that is provided.

Gifts of any amount will make a tremendous impact and help meet the goal of raising $3 Million for this important project.

Please consider making a gift today.
